The Divine Reset: Starting Over with God’s Word

Today’s Meditation:
Jeremiah 1:9-10 MSG
[9-10] God reached out, touched my mouth, and said, “Look! I’ve just put my words in your mouth—hand-delivered! See what I’ve done? I’ve given you a job to do among nations and governments—a red-letter day! Your job is to pull up and tear down, take apart and demolish, and then start over, building and planting.”

Reflection:
There are times when darkness and its agents cause confusion and disorder in our world—just as the original beauty of creation once fell into chaos. Yet, God’s spoken word restored order and brought forth new life. His word is the ultimate reset button. When we face disorganization or negative outcomes in our lives, it’s a sign that God’s power is calling us to start over. With His word, we can pull up and tear down what hinders us, demolish barriers, and then build and plant anew according to His divine design.

Encouragement:
Whenever you notice things heading in the wrong direction or producing negative results, it’s time for a word feast. We cannot defeat the forces of darkness by meeting them on their terms. Just as Archangel Michael refused to stoop to the level of argument with the enemy, he wielded the authority of God’s spoken word. God restored order and beauty from chaos, and His power in Christ is released when we declare His Word over every situation. Remember, building is a process—just as it took God six days to construct the heavens and the earth through His Word (John 1:1-3).
