An Economy of Powers 1
Today’s Meditation:
Matthew 2:15 EASY
“They all remained in Egypt until Herod died. This happened so that the words of the prophet would become true. The Lord God had said by His prophet, ‘I have called My Son to come out of Egypt.’”
Reflection:
In our previous series, we explored how Christ embodies both the power and wisdom of God. Today’s meditation deepens that theme by reminding us that God’s plan has always been to channel His divine power through His people. In the days of Jesus, even as wise men from the East journeyed for weeks to pay homage to the newborn King, there were forces determined to oppose Him. Yet, through divine intelligence, Joseph was warned and led safely to Egypt, fulfilling the prophetic promise.
This historical event reveals that our world is governed by various powers—on earth, in the air, and in the heavens. It also underscores the importance of tapping into the powerful arsenal available to us in Christ. Just as Apostle Paul declared in Philippians 3:10 his desire to know Christ and the power of His resurrection, we too are called to cultivate a deep, personal understanding of that power. In an age marked by modern forms of satanic manipulation, recognizing and accessing this divine economy of power is essential for our spiritual triumph.
Encouragement:
Beloved, as a child of God, you have been granted authority to exercise His power here on earth. Let the knowledge that Christ is both our power and our wisdom inspire you to stand firm against every force that seeks to undermine His purpose. Embrace the divine intelligence that has preserved God’s promises throughout history, and let it empower you to march on to greatness.
Prayer Points:
- Father, thank You for giving me the authority to exercise power in Christ here on earth.
- Lord, help me to immerse myself daily in Your Word and live in Your anointing, so that I may tap into the divine economy of power You provide.
- Holy Spirit, reveal to me the dimensions of Your power and wisdom, empowering me to dismantle every force that stands contrary to Your purpose.
