God’s Economy of Power

Spread the Message

Today’s Reflection:
Matthew 28:18 AMPC
“Jesus approached and, breaking the silence, said to them, ‘All authority (all power of rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.’”

Reflection:
In our previous series, we learned that Christ is the power and wisdom of God—He is everything we need as new creation believers. Today, we see that this same Christ is the very economy of power available to us. When Paul taught the Corinthians that Christ embodies God’s power, he was pointing to the inherent strength now residing in His name—secured forever by His resurrection and exalted position at the right hand of the Father.

This power isn’t merely for display; it is meant to be tapped into for our daily journey. Just as Jesus instructed His disciples to remain in Jerusalem until they were endowed with this power, so too must we learn to connect with this divine authority. The world is governed by multiple powers—some in the heavens, some in the air, on land, and even in the sea—but because Christ reigns over all, His authority is our shield and our strength.

Encouragement:
As believers, we live, move, and exist in Christ. Our responsibility is to consciously tap into this economy of power so that we are never overwhelmed or controlled by the forces of darkness or the limitations of earthly authorities. Embrace the truth that Christ’s authority is available to you, empowering you to overcome every challenge. Let this understanding transform your walk, making you a victor in every arena of life.

Prayer Points:

  1. Heavenly Father, thank You for making Your authority and power available to me through Christ.
  2. Heavenly Father, help me from this day forward to connect my spirit, soul, and body to the enormous economy of power in Christ.
